About this artwork. For me, the UAE is not just modern buildings, oil, and technology, but also a country with a deep national identity, a great history, and a unique heritage. It has been a great honor for me to be a part of it; at the same time, it saddens me that many people still seem to think there is nothing historical here. My symbol refutes this—only a people with deep roots can build something great, and the United Arab Emirates is truly a great, progressive country. And the roots of this nation run very deep, have been revered for generations, and are just as beautiful and strong as this symbol of its great history.
