About this artwork. This series of works was inspired by my inner search for my own point of reference and an attempt to capture the ‘moment now,’ because sometimes no it is so difficult to grasp how something that was important to you yesterday—be it an object or a relationship—can completely lose its meaning in just a few days or years, or take on a completely different meaning. The impetus for this study was pomegranates that were picked from a tree in one of Oman's remote villages — juicy and delicious, they became more and more ripe with each passing day, but then the process of decay began, which also moved them from the category of pleasant to the category of disgusting with each new day... And it was wonderful to witness with my own eyes the change in meaning of something that had value as one thing yesterday, but tomorrow would be something completely different. I painted them natively, placing them on a piece of wood and adding details that appeared on them every day for a month.
